Job opportunities with Thetford Landscaping in Breckenridge Colorado. Our climate is wonderful in the summer with daily high’s rarely exceeding 80 degrees. Sun screen and hats are strongly recommended as we receive 300 sunny days a year. Our town has a great ski area in the winter and world class mountain biking, dirt jump park, hiking, boating, fly fishing, dirt biking etc. are all accessible locally.
Thetford landscaping and irrigation is a family owned business that seeks qualified individuals to join our team. Here is a list of positions currently available but please feel free to submit a resume with your qualifications or goals.
IRRIGATION TECH: ($17-24 Depending on Experience)
Qualifications: Skilled in programing, installing, repairing, and selling irrigation systems. Must know how to operate a trencher, multi meter, (wire locator skills a plus but we will train) and tools related with fitting and gluing pipe. Physically fit without injuries. Able to lift 80 lbs., drive stick shift trucks, back up trailers, and manage related equipment.
Responsibilities: Repair and install irrigation systems and keep your helper moving efficiently and profitably. Able to manage all the various irrigation parts and equipment in our organized van. For see short falls in the van’s stock and place weekly or bi weekly materials order. Report daily to operations manager with progress, solutions, and sales opportunity.
MAINTENANCE FOREMAN: ($15+ Depending on Experience)
Qualifications: 2 years of experience in landscape maintenance profession with a focus on flower bed maintenance. Good working knowledge of Colorado perennial flowers, weeds, and efficient techniques to manage both plants. Managing your own productivity while overseeing 1-2 other helpers with an effort on quality work and efficiency. Physically fit without injuries, able to lift 60 lbs.
Responsibilities: Produce quality work in an efficient manner. Manage tools, truck capacity, plant materials and customer’s needs. Report daily to operations manager about, issues, progress, and feedback with properties health.
INSTALL/MOW CREW: ($14-17 Depending on Experience)
Qualifications: We are going to hire the most experienced applicants but a strong willingness and ability to learn are possibly more important. Physically fit able to lift 80 lbs, dig, shovel, mow etc. for potentially 8-10 hrs per day. Operate mowers, weed trimmers, blowers, and other equipment. Able to drive a stick shift truck and ideally back up trailers but we can teach you that.
Responsibilities: Learn new skills daily and be able to apply those skills to the next work days. Execute the daily work sheets within the time allotted and to a high level of quality. Responsible for landscape equipment, tools and vehicles.
